Social media unfocused can be a warped vacuum. I feel during this anxiety filled time my Twitter account became my enemy and not my stress release friend. I had over 2500 followers and followed almost the same. I got away from my primary goal. I really just wanted to see hobbies, art, religious interests and pets. The problem is people you follow don't always post very specific topics all the time.
I saw increasing posts with doom and gloom, misinformation or flat out misrepresentations of themselves or fraudulent accounts. I saw immoral, unethical and misinformed posts. Bottom line I felt sucked in to these things and bombarded on a daily basis. I started to feel that anxiety when you work with people that don't share your values and feel stressed even after leaving work.
My husband yesterday pointed out to me a study he probably heard on John Tesh.
He said something I already know. News and social media in gobs are not good for your mental health. In the past 10 days I have watched Twitter and news way too much. I wasn't living life. I was getting a lot of information and a lot of it not fact checked from around the world. It was too much mental sifting and for what? It wasn't giving me anything better in my life. There are some beautiful people on Twitter with enjoyable accounts. However, for me the bad out weighed the good.
It's time to get back to crafting and listening to some good music. It's time to take a walk or take a ride and take some pictures. There is so much to do even with social distancing. Be mentally well my friends. It's ok to leave trivial things behind and be a better you.
Just a girl and her pup making their way thru life. Follow us doing everyday things we like to do. Maybe I will tell you a story, or a recipe, or perhaps a favorite photo. I might talk about antiques, family fun stories, gardening, traveling in my camper and more. Just my opinions, I'm not an expert.

Naughty Nature!
*****Please do not copy my photos. It would be appreciated.
I have been busy with work. I have not posted very much at all! Things are changing. I need to release stress. I need to release my creativity. It is when I feel best. :)
Enjoy these photos from my bay window. They are taken through the glass. So, if a little hazy, you know why!

Yep, it is worth doing an uncomfortable head stand!
Stretch baby squirrel!
Hey, are you looking at me!
You don't mind if I eat your sprouts! Chip...seriously!

Winter Has Arrived and Thinking About Live Christmas Tree Guilt
I didn't grow up in a family obsessed with cutting their own Christmas tree. The needles and the watering seemed more a nuisance than festive. I purchased a live tree 5 years ago and said never again. I lost some antique bulbs to saggy or dehydrated branches and that was enough for me. Then there is this year. It seemed everywhere I looked trees were for sale. I wanted a small one with the bulb to plant in Spring. When I lived in Maine these were easy to find and not too costly. Here it's like the nursery didn't sell trees in the Spring and now they are going to take advantage of your good tidings and cheer. I was not paying $150 for a 4ft tree. So I bought a live 5ft tree. I stopped by a small farm on a back country road advertising trees. I really wanted two small trees for the front porch. Here is where well deserved tree guilt comes in. I still feel like an ass. The man explained the time it takes for a blue spruce to grow. I'm not sure how long, but it made me think about it later on.
After Christmas I saw so many unpurchased tress at stands. Of course trees in recycling piles. I have always loved nature. I am ashamed I gave into buying a tree that cleans our air and gives us beauty. I know all trees do not come from tree farms. I get people have farms specifically to grow trees and make a living. My hopes are people who are selling trees are doing it the right the way. We also need to be better consumers and ask where the trees are coming from if not purchasing directly from the farm.
I have purchased from Arbor Day since my first landscaping project at my home. I always had luck with their plants. Here is the link. https://www.arborday.org/
Have a wonderful day :)
