Perched above our garage and scanning the neighborhood.
Just a girl and her pup making their way thru life. Follow us doing everyday things we like to do. Maybe I will tell you a story, or a recipe, or perhaps a favorite photo. I might talk about antiques, family fun stories, gardening, traveling in my camper and more. Just my opinions, I'm not an expert.

Whimsey Easy Terracotta Pot DIY
This is so easy to complete. You just need a little craftiness and Gorilla Glue.
Materials; most can be found at Hobby Lobby for a reasonable price. You can also find moss colors on Amazon. This is a real bird's nest that was abandoned. DO NOT TAKE AN ACTIVE NEST. You may also buy fake nests. Think about nest size and weight compared to pot. A too small pot for a bigger nest will make it top heavy and unsteady.
Terracotta pot in size of choice. Apply Gorilla Glue to rim sides and have moss ready to place. If you feel this is too much of a drippy situation and you are good with a hot glue gun then this is also a good option. Let dry.
Next add glue to top of rim and place bird's nest. Firmly hold down on pot. For a quick hold you could use both glues to get a sturdy hold. Let dry.
Add your butterfly on wire to nest. This should not require glue. Just weave wire into nest.
Add to a dome for a mystical, fairy effect! |
